Located in the Burabay Special Economic Zone, the NU Science & Health Complex is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students and faculty with an optimal academic and research-oriented environment. The complex supports scientific, research, communication, and health-related activities and includes a diverse range of facilities: Research Building, Biology Building, Dormitories, Sports Complex, Environmental Research Center, Energy Park, Dock and Boat Storage, Log Houses, Maintenance Facilities, Service Vehicle Garage, Boiler Room, Fuel Storage, Substation, Security Checkpoint. These buildings form an integrated system that supports both academic pursuits and everyday living needs."

Nestled in a beautiful pine forest, the masterplan emphasizes coexistence with the natural environment. At the client’s request, the existing forest was preserved as much as possible, and buildings were strategically placed in naturally clearings. This approach ensures minimal disturbance to the ecosystem while maximizing sustainable land use."

Given its proximity to a lake, the complex incorporates environmentally responsible water systems. Stormwater is filtered through a detention tank before being released, thereby reducing its ecological footprint. Sewage is managed through a separate pipeline and sent to a treatment facility to ensure full purification."

The NU Science & Health Complex goes beyond the conventional research campus. It provides a model for how architectural design can blend academic excellence with ecological responsibility. By allowing students and faculty to live and work amid pristine natural surroundings, the complex fosters creativity, innovation, and sustainability—setting a new standard for future educational developments.
