The Highvill Complex is part of the Astana New Town development project, established as a symbol of modern urban expansion based on Kisho Kurokawa’s linear zoning master plan. Following Astana’s relocation in 1997 and its rapid urbanization and efforts to enhance international status, this large-scale architectural project was undertaken. Designed in collaboration with Korean construction company Dongil Construction in 2004, the complex comprises over 3,300 residential units in a mixed-use development. Located near Norman Foster’s "Palace of Peace and Reconciliation," the complex combines high-rise residential towers with commercial facilities, establishing a new landmark in Astana.

The design process involved close coordination with relevant authorities across various construction aspects such as building height, floor count, staircases, balconies, and fire safety regulations. Through the establishment of new regulations and reinterpretations, the project was successfully completed. The Highvill Complex embraces the theme of "Balance of modern luxury and sustainable urban living", targeting high-income and expatriate residents to offer an internationally competitive residential environment.

The minimalist design featuring elegant curves and glass facades harmonizes with the Bayterek Tower and the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, adding sophisticated luxury to Astana’s skyline. High-end finishes and sustainable design elements create a refined living space that leads a new residential culture reflecting Astana’s urban context.
