A new zenith of luxury: Four Seasons Hotel Astana
Located in the heart of Astana, Kazakhstan, the Four Seasons Hotel is a 5-star luxury development designed by ReardonSmith Architects at the request of the Lancaster Group. Inspired by French châteaux, the hotel and branded residences blend classical grandeur with modern sophistication. Set on a picturesque riverside site, the development preserves surrounding parklands and offers stunning views of the city, river, and Presidential Palace—enhancing Astana’s urban skyline.
The hotel features 160 large rooms averaging 45m², alongside world-class amenities: spa, three fine-dining restaurants, a grand ballroom, a bar, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a swimming pool. The specialty restaurant is expected to offer Astana’s finest cuisine in a refined atmosphere. With a stone façade, bronze-framed windows, and premium marble floors, the building exudes timeless elegance through classical proportions, aiming to lead Kazakhstan’s luxury hospitality market.
Strategically placed at the center of the site facing the river, the hotel has a rear entrance connected to a major roadway. Public areas are located on a 9-meter-high podium level, while essential back-of-house facilities (kitchen, laundry, waste handling, etc.) are efficiently arranged at ground level. Additionally the hotel includes 84 indoor parking spaces and secure vehicle and pedestrian access via gated entries.
Designed with Astana’s extreme weather in mind—temperatures ranging from -40°C in winter to 30°C in summer, and frequent strong winds—the building utilizes durable materials and carefully engineered functionality. To address Astana’s harsh climate, the porte-cochère features heated pavement and a radiant heating system. Combining classical elegance, modern amenities, and urban integration, Four Seasons Hotel Astana offers a peerless experience for guests and residents alike, establishing itself as a new landmark in the city.
