Shymkent city: A visionary urban future
Shymkent City is an innovative urban planning project spanning 436 hectares in the northern part of Shymkent, Kazakhstan, west of Baiterek Avenue. This development seeks to create a sustainable urban environment through modern architecture and eco-friendly design, forming a multifunctional complex that integrates residential, commercial, cultural, and sports facilities. Shymkent City aims to redefine the city's future and become a new hub offering residents a convenient and enriched lifestyle.
The project provides 1.265 million square meters of residential space, accommodating approximately 56,000 residents. Apartments range in height from 9 to 16 stories (9F, 12F, 14F, 16F), ensuring a modern living environment while meeting the standard of 25㎡ of living area per person. Social infrastructure is strategically arranged to enhance quality of life, including kindergartens (4,980 seats), schools (10,350 seats), polyclinics, as well as cultural and commercial facilities that energize the local community.
Environmental protection and sustainability are key elements of Shymkent City's design. Parks and green areas (48.1 hectares) contribute to a pleasant urban atmosphere. Efficient stormwater management and waste treatment systems are implemented to minimize environmental impact. The development features 37 km of roads and a 14.4 km public transportation network, along with bicycle paths and pedestrian-friendly planning to promote eco-friendly mobility.
More than a residential district, Shymkent City is envisioned as a cultural and economic center. Public zones include a civic-commercial core, cultural parks, and a sports arena with a 20,000-seat capacity—attractive destinations for both residents and visitors. This integrated development will establish Shymkent City as a new landmark of Kazakhstan, driving sustainable growth and regional revitalization.
