This project, envisioning a “Second Songdo” while overlooking the original Songdo, is located on a site surrounded by parks and schools, excluding the highway on the southeastern side. Facing the long stretch of lake and the expansive view of Songdo to the southwest, the design harmonizes nature and the city. To maximize the southern view of the complex, the buildings are spaced widely apart. The main residential buildings are oriented to allow views of the seashore through Songdo Amusement Park. From the initial planning stage, meticulous placement was applied to ensure every household enjoys a wide sea and city view.
To reduce noise from the highway on the southeast side, noise-blocking walls and side-wall layouts were incorporated, providing a quiet and comfortable living environment. A deck-type design was employed to minimize ground cutting, allowing natural light and fresh air to flow throughout the entire complex. An outdoor camping area has been created in the northern external space of the site, offering a chance to experience nature even in the city. By connecting the complex landscaping with surrounding parks, the space is designed to provide residents with memorable experiences.
