In Dohwa-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, this project shines like a lighthouse on a hill, embracing the existing street while creating a modern residential environment. Nestled within the vibrant urban context near Hongdae, this intimate complex of 165 units offers practical and convenient living spaces in 59㎡ and 84㎡ layouts. The two buildings serve as symbolic wings connecting Dohwa-dong’s past and future. Through a transfer structure design that overcomes the site’s steep slope and limited space, the project secures 220 legal parking spaces. A small central park within the complex acts as a pedestrian pathway and resting area shared by residents and the local community, opening a new chapter for community interaction."

The steep slopes, narrow alleys, and illegal parking common in Dohwa-dong posed significant design challenges. Emergency vehicle access was ensured through an 8-meter-wide front road, and the entrance road was widened through public donation of land, enhancing safety and accessibility while overcoming site limitations. Creative design and coordination with regulatory authorities solved issues related to narrow access roads and rear entrances to parking lots, completing a parking plan that goes beyond a simple residential complex to become a sustainable space coexisting with the neighborhood. The Dohwa-dong street housing redevelopment project, with its unique design that takes advantage of the steep terrain and the community-oriented small park, is becoming a new landmark in Michuhol-gu. Experience better living where modern housing meets local value.
